1960 Press Photo West Jefferson General Hospital dedication ceremony.

This is an original press photo. The $3 million West Jefferson General Hospital in Marrero will be opened to patients in several weeks, hospital administrator David M. Smith, announced following dedicatory exercises yesterday. Smith said it was the plan of the hospital board to formally open to hospital at the dedication but this was decided against when some of the furniture designed for the building was destroyed by a fire at the Michigan manufacturing plant from which it was purchased. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 04-04-1960.
