1965 Press Photo Marc Ducote inspects the Titan 3C rocket's engine-Cape Kennedy
This is an original press photo. Cape Kennedy Florida-Air Force Lt. Col. Marc C. Ducote peers through opening in side of Titan 3C rocket to inspect engine of the upper stage, called a Transtage. Air Force said today it will attempt to ignite the Transtage an unprecedented 10 times in space after the Titan 3C is launched next Friday. Titan 3C is being developed to launch manned and unmanned military payloads, Martin Co. is integrating contractor and Aerojet-General makes the Transtage engine. Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
