Absolutely beautiful copy of the 1961 classic Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child, first edition, second printing, published by Knopf. The dustjacket has a few small issues but is really quite beautifully clean overall. There is some tearing at the top left at the top of the spine, and one small bit of it is taped on the back, but it looks quite good. There are one or two other very small edge tears but very minor. A bit of light staining at the bottom edge, and some slight fading at the top, but all this is really minor. The price is clipped on the inside flap, but it is not a Book Club copy and has the early 1061 at the bottom of the inside flap. The book itself is nearly immaculate, with strong binding and clean crisp pages throughout. No stains or markings or writing. The top corners are slightly bumped in part of the book (see photo) but it is very slight. The cover has pretty much no wear at all. Really this is a magnificent copy. Very hard to find in this shape.
