De Drie Klokken pottery factory was founded in 1671 in a building on De Geer where a brewery was previously located. 
Barbara Cornelis Rotteveel, started this company. Her grandson, Pieter Mesch, took over in 1706.
 Subsequent owners were his widow, Maria van Ophoven, and her second husband, Hendrik van Willigen.
De Drie Klokken was sold to Adriaan van der Does in 1743. After his death, his widow and son ran the business.
