To enhance its authenticity and give it a more Byzantine and ecclesiastical appearance, we apply a special aging technique. This involves subtle, skillful brush touches in selected areas to soften the intense shine of the gold — resulting in a magnificent finish that highlights the majesty and sacred aura of the icon.
