This uncirculated 1 South African rand note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the South African Reserve Bank. It is a brown note that bears the signature of Theunis Willem de Jongh, and measures 120 mm x 57 mm. Its obverse side features a Protea flower and Jan van Riebeeck. Its reverse side shows two rams in a cornfield with a farm and mountains in the background. Though this note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of Jan van Riebeeck.
