An antique English 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts) brooch, set with a Wedgwood blue Jasperware cameo depicting Cupid & cherubs riding a lion drawn chariot.
A lovely scene...extremely collectible!
CONDITION: Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Faint hairline across cameo.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1900. Cameo marked 'Wedgwood'. Illegible stamp to mount.
DIMENSIONS: 75 x 32 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT: Approx. 22.3 grams.
