Connectors will modify the stock MDR-XB700 Headphones, to accept 3.5 mm connector cables for single ended and balanced cables. Good for retrofits or repairs of the wire terminals of your MDR-XB700 headphones. Recommended adhesive: Five Minute Epoxy. Apply with sharp pin around the terminal.
Steps:
1 Dismantle headphone cup assembly
2 Remove original rubber cable grommet
3 Solder wire to terminals (follow images)
4 Ruff up the outer surface of the 3.5 mm terminals with a rough sandpaper provided for better Epoxy bonding.
5 Insert connectors to the desired depth in the terminal cylinders and apply epoxy around the terminal using a sharp pin like object. Apply epoxy around the terminal to contact to the original terminal cylinders. Appy a much epoxy as possible. (See images)
6 Let cure for a couple of hours and reassemble your headphones.
