R&P Service Insight
When installing, orientation is critical. The "Camber" (the slight bow in the tube) must face UP. If installed upside down, your tires will wear out rapidly on the inside edges.
- Lubrication: Use high-quality lithium-based grease for the spindles.
- Load Rating: Remember the 2,000 lbs capacity includes the weight of your trailer frame.
- Bolt Pattern: The 5x4.5" pattern fits most standard 12" to 15" trailer wheels.

R&P Knowledge Hub
Axle Type: Idler Axle (Non-braking spindle).
Bearings: Typically utilizes standard L44649 inner and outer bearings for 1-1/16" straight spindles.
Construction: 1.75" diameter round steel tubing provides a balance of weight and strength.
Camber Fact: The upward bend is intentional; it flattens out under load to keep tires perpendicular to the road surface.
R&P Measurement Guide
Precision is key for axle fitment. Always double-check your frame width and current axle measurements before ordering.
- Hub Face (44"): The distance from the base of one wheel stud to the opposite side.
- Spring Center (20.25"): Measured from the center of the left spring seat to the center of the right.
- Overhang: Calculated at 11.875" per side (Hub Face minus Spring Centers divided by 2).
