This is a center muffler bracket that fits between the transmission and rear end housing that was used when the muffler and lead pipe from the manifold came in 2 sections.. I looked in the one of the newer books on the market and they did not show this part but I know FORD put them on because I have several of the mounting brackets with the strap rusted off.. but this one is complete... It uses 1 bolt and the lower section just bumps aganist the case. We found these as we where cleaning out our shop shelfs, this is the only complete one that i have
