This board lets you set an MPPT voltage (typically your panelβs Vmp) so the converter holds the input around that value while delivering CC/CV to the battery/load.
Typical Vmp examples: 18β19 V (12 V-class panel), 36β38 V (24 V-class panel).
Always check your panel label or datasheet.
IN+/IN- β DC source (Vin > Vout by β₯0.5β1 V).
Set Vout with the voltage adjust.
Use within current/power limits; add heatsink/airflow if warm.
With no load, set Vout = float/charge voltage for your chemistry.
Short OUT+/OUT- through a meter (10/20 A range) and set current limit to the desired charge current.
Set turn-light threshold (e.g., 0.1β0.3 A) so green LED = βfullβ.
Important: Add a series blocking diode on OUT+ (module has no anti-backflow).
Connect battery to OUT+/OUT- (connect input first, then battery).
Connect panel to IN+/IN- (observe polarity).
Set MPPT voltage β panel Vmp.
Set Vout = battery charge/float voltage.
Set current limit to safe charge current for the battery.
Add blocking diode on OUT+; fuse appropriately.
With no load, set Vout β LED string Vf(max).
Set current limit = LED If.
Connect LEDs; verify CC regulation (current steady, βCCβ active).
Reverse-polarity (input): Not built-in. Add a diode or ideal-diode MOSFET if needed.
Backfeed (output): Not protected. Use a series diode on OUT+ when charging batteries or when the load can feed back.
Grounds: Do not tie IN- and OUT- together externally; CC sensing requires separation.
Thermals: For >3.5 A or >50 W, use the heatsink and provide airflow; derate to β€80% of max for continuous use.
Buck rule: Vout must remain below Vin during operation.
