Amazing vintage hand-carved African ostrich egg artwork. This was made in South Africa. It could be converted to use as a lamp with a small bulb stand or battery light strand. The hole in the bottom is approx 1 1/8". The egg is hand-carved with the design of a prowling male lion and mounted to a wooden base. It is vintage so may have some wear, so please view photos. 

This is an amazing curio art piece or incredibly interesting decor to add to a child's room, especially one with an interest in animals, or with a safari or circus themed room.
