I am delighted to offer for sale this very pretty comport (or footed serving plate) by Emile Bourgeois of Paris.

This lovely comport/tazza is so very elegant, with a deep sculpted plate/dish atop a very stylish pedestal. 

It is decorated with garlands of flowers, mainly pink, but also with blue, yellow and green. The scalloped rim is gilt edged, along with the base rim. There is also further decoration to the inside, which looks like laurel leaves with fine garlands, all gilded. What makes this lovely comport so special is the profusion of decoration, which is also to the underside of the plate, as well as to the base of the pedestal.

This is a really fine piece of porcelain, in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks repairs or crazing. There is very little sign of it having been used, so I suspect it has been well cared for and loved, and probably kept in a display cabinet. It rings really beautifully. You will not be disappointed.

Measures 7 and 7/8" wide and around 8.5" tall to highest point.
