AMERICAN WHITE OAK
Real Wood Veneer Sheet
High Quality Sanded, Untreated, Unglued Fleece / Membrane Backed
Approximately 2500mm x 300mm (2.5m x 0.3m) - 0.6mm thick.
Sanded, raw and untreated veneer ready for a finish to be applied after installation.
It has a flexible membrane backing for extra strength, flexibility and to help keep the veneer flat.
This veneer can be applied with contact adhesive or other conventional veneering techniques.
Normally this veneer does not have finger joints, it is one piece, continuous in the length.
As this is a natural material, the actual item will vary from the picture shown.
This is a natural raw wood veneer product. A finish should be applied after bonding. The veneer can also be stained to taste or to achieve a closer colour match.
All real wood varies in colour naturally and every piece, roll and sheet is unique. With this in mind, the listing photos are for general guidance only. Every roll will be different. We have added several photos to give an idea of what the veneer might look like. We try and match multiple sheets as best as we can, but we cannot guarantee how close they will be in appearance. Having said that, we can normally find some consecutive sheets of these 2500mm x 300mm sheets.
New, unfinished wood/edging will almost certainly be lighter in colour than existing wood. If matching to existing wood, it is very likely that the piece to be matched will have been treated with a finish, e.g. wax or lacquer. Dampening a corner of the veneer slightly will give an idea of what the colour and grain will look like after a finish has been applied. As we say above, the veneer can be stained to match existing shades and colours.
Aging can also change the shade/colour of existing wood. The final colour of any real wood edging is often determined by the finish(es) applied. We are happy to advise in this respect and also look at samples or photos sent in. Please contact us for details.
Sheet(s) should be unpacked (within 21 days) and used as soon as possible to avoid the veneer drying out and finger joints opening.
If in doubt, please contact us for advice. Many thanks.
