AMAZING & HISTORICAL ITEM from ONE of the GREATEST PLAYERS OF ALL TIME !!

Offered here are (2) 3x5 Index Cards written on both sides (as a letter) dated March 28, 1968 from Ottawa-Ont signed by Legendary Montreal Canadiens Deceased HOF Great AURELE JOLIAT.

Joliat writes in response to a fan's question in blue ballpoint pen:

"Dear Walt, you're quite a hockey fan all right.  With all your knowledge you could become President of the League some day - What say !, there !

My memory is quite dull now, Walt, is I've been out of the game for 30 years or so, and believe me you're quite a way about you, to try and bring back a few memories.

Yes indeed Sprague Cleghorn and Howie Morenz we're two of my favorite players - both gone now as you know.  Sprague was the best Defenseman to my way, and Howie, the greatest, and most natural Hockey player that ever put on skates.

To tell of some of their exploits would take too long but just lets say that Cleghorn was the greatest Hockey trickster that ever played and Morenz the fastest of all players in his prime, I played about 13 1/2 years with him, and when Howie left to play in Chicago & New York it broke up the team and I was completely lost, as I'd lost the greatest Hockey showman in the business.  So long Walt, and best of luck to you in the coming years - Aurele."

Just absolute AMAZING CONTENT written about Morenz "The Babe Ruth of Hockey" and Cleghorn "The Greatest & Nastiest Defenseman of the Pre-War Era" from the perspective of their fellow HOF Teammate...also one of the greatest !!!
