A garnet specimen (likely andradite) from Mali.  Weighs 173 grams.  Excellent almost euhedral garnet specimen displaying dodecahedral form.  The photos are under normal ambient lighting conditions, except for the second photo that uses spot lighting to highlight the luster of the garnet.  Initially the specimen is resting on an imperfect face.  The final photo shows the specimen rotated and displaying this face.
