This is a terrific Vintage Inuit Soap Stone Carving

Signed “Luke” (William Luke).

This stone sculpture of a "Hunter" was done with terrific, intricate details.

He looks to have once held a spear which has a loose toothpick inserted (will come with sculpture)

Piece is signed Luke on the bottom. "

William Luke was an Eskimo carver that worked for Northwest Arts and Crafts in the 60’s & 70’s.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition, with very subtle signs of age and wear, though nothing remarkable or distinctive.
