Continental ProContact GX SSR Tires
The Continental ProContact GX SSR (MOExtended) is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This specific tire is marked with MOExtended as it is the original equipment of RunFlat Mercedes vehicles. This model is EV-Ready, meaning these tires are compatible with both electric and traditional vehicles. This model is for the rear axle position.
The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. The all season compound and the optimal tread design work together to boost the dry, wet, and winter-weather grip on the road surface. The compound elements maintain the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, while the tread design upgrades the surface grip with extra biting edges. Circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint, resulting in a secure wet performance.
The maintained surface contact of the tire upgrades controllability. The better road contact allows the tire to enhance steering responsiveness and driving stability. This enables the tire to boost the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. The shoulder block pattern enables the tire to optimize the cornering and maneuvering ability with the use of extra biting edges. This results in a safer performance.
The Self-Supporting Run Flat technology, or SSR for short, enables the tire's limited, temporary performance in case of air pressure loss. This technology allows the tire to securely perform once air pressure leaves the tire for 50 miles for 50 miles. As a result, the vehicle will not be stranded on the side of the road, ensuring a safer performing ability. Run flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle as regular tires due to the difference in the weight of their internal structure.
The silica compound and the stronger traction allow the tire to minimize the rolling resistance. They ease the pressure off the tire to achieve this, resulting in a fuel-efficient performance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire which determines the vehicle's fuel usage while the tires are in motion. Lowering the rolling resistance enables the tire to decrease the vehicle's fuel intake and CO2 emission, resulting in a fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience.
The Continental ProContact GX SSR (MOExtended) utilizes the tread design and the stronger compound to ensure a comfortable drive. The tread's variable pitch sequence manages to negate the sound waves while the tires are in motion. This is ensured with the sound-canceling frequency the tire generates, preventing sound waves from reaching the passengers in the vehicle's cabin. The base compound, which is situated under the tread area, ensures the tire's closer surface contact, which allows the tire to absorb the shock of driving. In this manner, the road vibrations are prevented, resulting in a quiet and comfortable performance.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.

- Notify VYC Tires, Inc. via eBay message and provide the date of your original purchase, the brand, model and size of the tire, and whether you wish to purchase a replacement tire or obtain a refund.
- We accept Returns within a 90-day period starting from the date of purchase!
- No Restocking Fee will be applied and a Full Refund will be provided if the Item is returned in unused condition.
