I use this adhesive primarily for attaching surrounds to speaker cones of all types of material including poly plastic cones. It can also be used to glue dust caps and spider suspensions. This is a hexane solvent based speaker repair adhesive that is not available in regular stores. If you do a lot of speaker repair and restoration this glue will prove itself invaluable.
Common white glues or Poly Vinyl Acetate (PVA) are just that -- common wood glue and nothing more. No special formulas just common wood / craft glue that you can get at any hardware or craft store under many different brand names including Elmer's or the super sticky Aileen's glue. They are all the same except they are not designed for speaker repair. They dry harder than Nitrile Rubber and do not form a symbiotic bond between the surround and the cone material. Why use cheap glues on expensive speakers? Granted they may get stuff stuck together --- so will duct tape & hot melt glue.
The 1 ounce bottle when used as directed is enough to comfortably do (8) 8" speakers.
