• Using Mode 06 to Diagnose Misfires

Every time a cylinder misfires, OBD II adds one number to a running count of misfires for that cylinder. When the rate of misfire in any cylinder exceeds a certain threshold (typically around two percent), it will usually set a misfire code for that cylinder and turn on or flash the Check Engine light. If the misfire rate is less than about two percent, however, it usually will NOT set a code. Even so, the misfire may still be noticeable enough that you can feel it when the engine is under load or accelerating.

HOW TO REGISTER & UPDATE

Step1: Go to LAUNCH official site(check it on User Manual) and click updating tool download icon to download it to computer.

Step2: Run the .exe file,and follow the on-screen instructions to install the update tool.

Step3: Launch the program when installed.

Step4: Type in the product Series number,which is located at the back of the tool.

Step5: After to jump to the registration page,enter your information and click Submit.

Step6: Install the TF card from the tool,into the supplied USB TF card adapter and insert into the USB port of the computer.

Step7: Reopen the update tool,select the updates you would like to perform or click"Select All",and then click Download to start download.

Step8: Once all steps are complete,reinsert the TF card into the tool and power the tool via USB cable.
