Description Official Participation Medal, 22nd Commonwealth Games, held in Birmingham, England from 28th July to 8th August 1982. I believe this medal was given to both athletes and volunteers at the Games. I would say that it was in mint condition or very close to it, but please take a good look at my photos and form your own opinion of its grade. The case is also in very good condition.
Made from Bronze, Diameter 57 mm, Weight 55.5 grams. Designer unknown.
The obverse design has the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games logo surrounded by an abstract design of thick straight lines and thin wavy lines, which perhaps represents athletes at the Games? The reverse has the Commonwealth Sport logo inside a similar abstract design.
