The details of the bas-relief are perfect and extremely crisp; practically all of the original fire gilt finish is present. A superb example all through. Description:

Here we have a super looking silver  TABLE SALT CELLAR  no spoon as pictured.  Featuring the top of the bowl, the bowl has beautiful decorations in a band around the external rim. Inside of the salt bowl still have a vibrant gilt wash as shown. Under the bowl there is an impressed star with hammer and sickle emblem and number of fineness (875” solid silver mark). This is a mark that was used in Russia after 1958.This is a lovely looking bowl, there are no deep scratches, nasty dents, or serious misshapes anywhere to report as far as I can tell. It has just the typical light, faint surface scuffs and scratches externally that all silver objects tend to acquire over the years. There is no wobble if it is put down on a flat surface. The salt cellar is not bent or misshapen either.
