Manufactured in the late 19th early 20th.century

by the George Wostenholm & Son firm in

their Washington Works Facility in Sheffield, England. The blade is clearly

marked  Washington Works and the 1-Xl

trademark.

The stag handle which has a German silver crossguard is complete,

undamaged and displays a pleasing used surface. The clip point blade is bright showing  little oxydation and no mechanical grinding marks. The leather sheath shows wear and losses

but is intact. The knife is being offered as found without repairs or restorations.
