Diana, Princess of Wales is fondly remembered as someone who cared passionately for others – making everyone she met feel special and valued with her genuine warmth and compassion.
Lochcarron of Scotland, the world’s largest manufacturer of authentic tartan, received official approval to design the Diana, Princes of Wales Memorial Tartan in September 1997.
It was created in sympathetic response and respect of the Princess’s memory. The tartan is based on a variation of the Royal Stewart plaid, in colours inspired by the Princess. In 2009 Lochcarron decided it was time to add to the Memorial Tartan range and have also introduced the Diana Memorial Rose Tartan.
