Vintage CANDLESTICK Rotary Telephone 6C1 Transmitter ROCK ISLAND Dial Plate. Preowned Estate Find! This old Candlestick Rotary Phone is black metal with a Bakelite earpiece and a red plastic mouthpiece. It is in good cosmetic condition for age. The earpiece is attached with a cord to the base piece. The red mouthpiece will not tighten correctly so fits abit loose. It has a Rock Island Dial Plate and green felt lined base. When you screw the red mouthpiece off you can see the transmitter number C61. The Phone has the insides, as I removed the base plate to see (see photos). Unknown if it works and selling AS IS. Tattered cord is attached. It is approximately 11-1/2" Tall with a 5-1/2" Diameter base. Not sure who made this and cannot find any maker markings. This probably set at a Rock Island train station. Neat piece of the past.
