ITEM DESCRIPTION: 

Montandon Freres 20-Jewel Silver Repeater Antique Pocket Watch

 This pocket watch measures approximately 53.6 mm in diameter and 75.6 mm in total length including the bow - see photos.

The unsigned dial has hairlines and is loose; the minute hand is missing but its pinion is intact - see photos. 

The silver case is signed "CYLINDRE 20 TROUS EN RUBIS NO 314 MONTANDON FRERES" on its dust cover - see photos. The inside of the case back is marked "ARGENT E.F.B. 8336" - see photos. When the crown is pressed, the front cover latch releases, but the front cover does not spring to the 90-degree position as it should. The back cover has a lazy spring and does not latch as firmly as it should. The dust cover hinge is not attached to the case - see photos. 

The repeater movement with cylinder escapement measures 43.5 mm in diameter and 8.7 mm in center thickness.  Unsure about setting and winding. The balance staff is broken. 

Non-running; partly disassembled; missing minute hand, possibly more; has not been cleaned or serviced recently; sold "as is" - please review photos with care.
