Václav Talich's 1954 Má Vlast packs fewer walloping decibels in comparison to its better known Kubelik/Chicago mono counterpart, yet the miking is better balanced and falls easier on the ear. Moreover, Talich's interpretations are leaner, finer-grained, and filled to the brim with soul. Virtually all traces of string portamento had vanished by the time Talich remade these six patriotic tone poems for the third time, but the woodwinds are more characterful, ensemble and solo-wise, and everyone benefits from faster tempos. A priceless document of a wonderful orchestra and the man

RETURN POLICY
Lower Price Media is committed to your satisfaction. We will gladly refund or replace any defective or damaged item. If you receive an item different than what was described, or that is clearly in worse condition than indicated, please contact us.
All purchases are non-returnable and non-refundable unless the product is damaged, defective or incorrectly shipped.
All items/returns that are damaged, defective or incorrectly shipped must be postmarked within 30 days of the date of sale .
If the order is REFUSED, RETURNED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT ADDRESS, INCORRECT ADDRESS, UNCLAIMED or does not have a reason enclosed, there will be a 10% restocking fee on the sales price or $3.50, (whichever value is greater). We will also deduct any postage we incur as a result of an item being returned for the above reasons.
