This listing is for 1 (one) beautiful Sabino opalescent crystal Art Glass large feeding bird figurine #15. This is one of the older figures and is guaranteed to be Sabino as it is signed/marked. It has deeper opalescence than generally found on the newer figures. Measures 3 7/8" high, 3 3/8" long and 3" wide. This lovely sculpture has a beautiful golden opalescence achieved by throwing gold into the glass batch. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Sabino was born in 1878 and immigrated with his family to France when he was 4 years old. His Art Glass production during the Art Deco period often rivaled that of Lalique and many of his designs have a very similar flair. Pieces produced during this period are highly desirable and hard to find. Production continued after Sabino's death in 1961 but the earlier pieces and the retired pieces are always the most valuable.
