Western Germany Automaton Doll of a man smoking a pipe. Approx 15" tall, and total width approx 11". He has glass rocking eyes and the clockwork is smooth, works perfectly, and not overwound.  He will nod for hours and his eyes rock with the nodding. Please see video and pictures. He's in very good condition for his age and was probably a store display.  He's dressed with a checkered red shirt with red fringe ( so cute!), brown pants, and a yellow bandanna scarf. He has a pipe in his mouth. I added the yellow hat to his ensemble, it's not old but looks good on him and he nods with the hat on too.  Other than the hat, his clothing is all original. Marked US Zone Germany.   

He's adorable, and we named him "Bobby Joe",  but you can call him whatever you want!
