🛠 DIY Fitting Guide

You Will Need

  • Clear PVC Sheet
  • Heavy-Duty Needle
  • Heavy-Duty Thread
  • Sharp Scissors or Craft Knife
  • Marker Pen or Chalk
  • Clips or Tape
  • Soft Cloth

Step 1 – Remove Old Window

Carefully remove or unpick the existing window without damaging the surrounding fabric.

Step 2 – Clean Area

Clean the frame and surrounding material thoroughly and allow to dry.

Step 3 – Measure Opening

Measure the window opening and allow sufficient overlap for fixing or stitching.

Step 4 – Cut PVC to Size

Mark the required dimensions onto the PVC sheet and carefully cut to size.

Step 5 – Position PVC

Place the PVC over the opening and check the fit.

Step 6 – Secure in Place

Use clips or tape to hold the PVC in position.

Step 7 – Stitch or Fix

Sew or fasten around the edge using suitable fixings.

Step 8 – Finish Edges

Secure thread ends and trim any excess material.

Step 9 – Final Check

Ensure the window is secure, smooth and weatherproof.
