2 Iron Mountain Stoneware Cup & Saucer Sets
Lookout Mountain Pattern
This listing is for exactly what is pictured, 2 cups and 2 saucers.
These vintage pieces are in excellent pre-owned condition. The cups measure about 2.75 inches tall, and the saucers are almost 6.5 inches in diameter.
Iron Mountain Stoneware operated from 1965-1992 in Laurel Bloomery, TN. It was opened by Nancy Patterson in partnership with Albert Mock. The Lookout Mountain pattern was inspired by artworks of Nancy's sister Sally and art professor James Kaneko.
Each piece of Iron Mountain pottery is hand glazed and hand painted making each piece unique. There are some slight glaze "flaws" in this pottery which is just part of the production process.
Lookout Mountain features a hand painted blue pattern with brown dot on Iron Mountain's signature light gray background.
Each of these pieces is hand stamped with the logo as well as hand signed by the decorator. In this set both cups and one saucer are signed with an "F" which is the signature of Fern and 1 saucer is signed with an "M" which is the signature of Mary.
These pieces have no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no utensil marks.
