Listing is an attractive antique postcard stating on the front,
"Greetings from DRAKE UNIVERSITY", and shows a
DRAKE pennant in the upper left hand corner of the card. The postcard clearly shows it was posted in
Des Moines on
November 18, 1908. The postcard still sports a full one cent Ben Franklin stamp that was used to mail the card in 1908 to the addressee in New Hampshire.
The 1908 Drake Bulldogs fielded a very good football team in the Missouri Valley Conference in 1908, and played their final game of the 1908 season for the "mythical MVC Championship" against chief rival Iowa State, but were defeated, 12-6.
