Alessi Anna G Cavatappi winged corkscrew designed by Alessandro Mendini. A collectible vintage Alessi corkscrew. To use twist Ann's head and impale the cork, then when her arms are raised simply pull down and presto - cork removed! First produced in 1994 a "tongue-in-cheek" homage to a real woman.  The smiling face has become something of a cult figure resulting in a large collection of tableware and kitchen objects..  Made in Italy by Alessi - making the ordinary extraordinary! Overall in wonderful condition but there is a slight stain in a 'fabric fold' near the neck of the corkscrew(see last photo) this in no way diminishes the usage or delight in this wonderful item.
