2011 Herald Sun AFL Trading Card 18 DAYS UN-OPENED Full Base Set + Official Album

 

Since 2004 Herald Sun has released AFL trading cards series every year until 2012—total 9 AFL Card series.  The release of Herald Sun AFL Trading cards was to boost the newspapers sales. By purchasing the Newpaper, collectors were able to purchase the pack at fixed pack price.

 

These cards are slightly smaller than regular size. Card Size: about 5.7 cm x 8.2 cm.  Normally, collectors purchase 1 pack each day during the promotion period and continue 15-18 days to finalize the full collection.

 

All Herald Sun AFL Trading cards from 2004 to 2012 were manufactured by Select Australia. HERALD SUN AFL TRADING CARDS has become a stand alone trading cards series that provides another choice for the upcoming AFL card collectors.

 

2011 AFL Herald Sun Trading Cards is the EIGHTH AFL trading cards series released by Herald Sun.

This series is a modified 3-D version cards series. You can only view the 3-D effect by wearing the special glass which was included in the original 2011 Herald Sun official album.

The 2011 Herald Sun AFL trading cards were released in 18 consecutive day (18 packs to make up the full base set of 221 cards). $2 per pack + Newspaper token, 18 days to collect. 

Day 1 to Day 17-- $2 per pack. All packs selling on the particular day contains the same cards. 

Each pack has 12 cards includes :

8 mixed common cards, 1 club Mascot, 1 Bronze Foil Young Gun Card, 1 Gold Foil Superstar card and 1 Silver Foil Sharp shooters card. 

The DAY 18 Pack contains 17 AFL Stars Caricature cards by artist Mark Knight. 1 for each of the 17 AFL clubs. 

Full collection--136 star players cards + 17 Club Mascot cards + 17 Caricature Cards + 17 Bronze Foil Young Gun Cards + 17 Silver Foil Sharp Shooters Cards + 17 Gold Foil Superstars cards.

 

4 Stars Signature cards were randomly inserted in the packs, 800 cards each.

Note: The ratio of the chase cards reflected in the total production run, not in any individual bundle of 18- Days pack bundle.

( Select Australia had only released Best & Fairest subsets in the Heard Sun AFL series between 2005 to 2010, which not appeared in Select regular card series between that time)

 

The item for sale here is the FULL SET ( 18 days’ packs) in the ORIGINAL PACKAGE—DAY 1 to DAY 18 PACKS. Generally, Herald Sun AFL card set is not a very limited release. The UNIQUE part of this item is : rewinding the clock to the origin of 2011 in a form of COMPLETE SET.

You purchased the full set in its ORIGINAL PACKAGE which is rarely seen even back to the 2011, let alone after so many years since its release. After we preserve them for more than 10 years, we will part some of our collection to other collectors.
