The Tanzania 2,000 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Bank of Tanzania in 2020. It has a color combination of tan and brown. Its obverse depicts the coat of arms of Tanzania and a lion. The reverse depicts the old Omani Arab Fort in Zanzibar’s Stone Town. It also shows a carved block and a diamond-shaped Spark patch with a giraffe’s head. The banknote contains a Motion windowed security thread and a watermark that reveals Julius Kambarage Nyerere with an electrotype 2000. It is 130 x 66 mm in size and is signed by Philip Mpango and Florens Luoga. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
