Vintage upholstery fabric by the yard. 54" (excludes selvedge)

This fabric was purchased in 1997 and I never used it. It has been stored in the back of my sewing closet for all of these years. It has a bit of an "old" smell from being stored for 26 years! The 17+ yards are on two rolls- one 5+yard roll, the other 12 yards. The colors are identical. The fabric looks solid from a distance but up close it is tiny checks -1/8"(see the photos). I believe the fiber is nylon and has a sprayed on backing, common to a lot of upholstery fabrics. There are tiny knots on the back of the fabric which look like they are from joining a new amount of thread when weaving the fabric. This fabric would only be appropriate for upholstery as it is very heavy.

The color- in the photos it looks more grey, but in person it is more blue- the close-up photos shows the color better, as well as the tiny check pattern. The blue grey is very much like a light to medium denim color.

I did a rough calculation on shipping of one yard which weighs over 1 1/2 pounds- shipping would be $8-14 depending on your location. Shipping for multiple yards in one piece would not be as much PER Yard. If you buy more than one yard, put your purchase in your shopping cart and I will calculate shipping for the amount you are buying.


In an effort to keep items from going into landfills, and to keep everyone's costs as low as possible, we re-use packaging materials and boxes when we are able.
