This pump helps expel water from the washing machine and is activated after the spin speed is maintained for a specific period of time. It is intended for use with washing machines that do not have belts. This drain pump has two ports for water to pass through: a large one, and a smaller one.
Specifications: - For beltless washers and direct drive washers
- Works with many Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, and other washing machines (customers are encouraged to check with seller if unsure)
- Two ports measure 1-3/4 inches and 1-1/4 inches
- Pump held to motor with two clips (sold separately)
Function: - When the motor rotates clockwise to drive the vane inside the drain pump to rotate clockwise, the pump absorbs water from the bottom of the washing tub.
- When the water enters the inlet of the pump, the blades or fins of the drain pump push the water around and force it out of the pump through the outlet, the water drained from the drain hose.
