 Laser Cut Self-Assembly Kit

 For OO Scale Model Railway Layouts




A versatile stables / stores building, perfect for farms, rural & light industrial scenes.

  • A versatile OO gauge / 1:76 scale stables / stores building suitable for farm, railway or industrial use. The design is typical of many buildings of this type that can still be seen all over the British Isles, with stone/brick walls & slate roof.

    The walls are finished in our popular old stone texture (alternative red brick texture also included), enabling it to fit in with any location or railway region

    The kit is supplied with laser-cut parts for ease of assembly and comes with fully weathered paper wraps and roof slates, with no additional painting or weathering required for a "Realistically Better" finish straight from the pack.

    The windows & vent are supplied laser-cut from our eco-friendly laserboard and are packed with detail including engraved planks, hinges and locks.

    The building consists of two rooms; the main stable & tack room. An alternative solid door is also included to replace the split, stable door if the building is to be used as a stores rather than for horses. And all interior walls feature stone wall detail enabling you to easily detail the interior and pose any of the doors part of fully open.

    Doors & other woodwork require painting before the kit is assembled which can be done with solvent or acrylic based paints. We used a Plastikote Stone color for our test build which we then dry-brushed with burnt sienna, white & slate grey artists acrylics to create a weathered wood look.

    There's also plenty of scope for customisation too... with the slates being applied in individual strips it's easy to build it in either pristine or derelict condition (or anywhere in between).
