This uncirculated 10,000 Greek drachma banknote is dated 16 January 1995 and signed by Konstantinos Argyropoulos and Luke Papadimos. It is a purple and violet standard circulation note that measures 153 mm x 77 mm. Its obverse side features the portrait of Dr. Georgios Papanikolaou, a microscope, and a book. Its reverse side features a frieze that depicts a medical care scene with a statue of Asclepius. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark image of King Philip II of Macedonia. The banknote was demonetized in 2012.
