Extremely Rare Edwardian Deco Early 1900s 14K Gold Spring Clipper Skull Eckfeldt & Ackley Pendant Charm 💀 Fully hallmarked (10th image) but only lower half of the mark is visible and the upper half was pressed into the air, however I was able to decipher 14K followed by the Eckfeldt & Ackley Inc. logo, an acorn. Eckfeldt & Ackley were active from 1896 to 1937 in Newark New Jersey. Weighs approximately 2.3 grams. Approximately 1.13 cm (7.3/16 of an inch) in height from skull top to jaw  edge with the face straight forward excluding attachment loop and bale, and approximately 8 mm (4.5/16 of an inch) in width skull widest Zygomatic edges. The jaw is spring activated with a 14K gold spring (9th image), now how cool is that ?! Skulls in art and jewellery were created as a memento mori, a reminder of death and our mortality, so as not to waste precious time doing evil things, wisdom of the past unfortunately not taken seriously in our day and age. Buyers of such jewels should be very wary since I have seen countless jewels falsely claimed as Victorian or Edwardian or antique when they are recently created. So finding an original such as this is quiet a treat ! Interestingly enough the golden skull has some missing teeth, and as you might have known George Washington had lost his own, coincidence ?! Feel free to check out my other Cool Charms ðŸ’€

Spend Time Wisely & God Bless !
