The Nigeria 100 Naira banknote is part of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s 2019 issues to commemorate the 100th year of Nigeria as one united nation. It comes in a combination of purple, red, peach, brown, and green. Its obverse design consists of coconuts, a green-to-purple SPARK manilla, a cotton boll, and a picture of Chief Obafemi Awolowo who was a former Premier of the Western Region. The reverse depicts manillas, the coat of arms of Nigeria, cowrie shells, five Nigerians wearing native dress, with baskets, playing musical instruments, and dancing. Primitive figures of an alligator, fish, turtle, snake, and leaves are also shown in the underprint. The 151 x 78 mm paper bill bears a motion windowed security thread with the Nigerian flag and 100. It also has a watermark that reflects Chief Obafemi Awolowo and an electrotype 100 CBN. This commemorative issue of the Nigerian 100 Naira banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been authenticated.
