The federal government is incensed that Earth's Mightiest Heroes are
protecting Captain Marvel after the aborted Kree invasion! So the Alien
Activities Commission summons the Avengers to testify! But the political
deck is stacked against the heroes and the national sentiment turns
against them! When the four avengers return to Fifth Avenue, they're
shocked to see their mansion ransacked! And shocked again when Cap,
Thor, and Shell-head kick them out of it! What a stunning turn of
events! Where do Wanda, Pietro, Goliath, and the Vision go from here?
Cameo appearances by Nick Fury, Dum Dum Dugan, Mr. Fantastic, the Thing,
and the Super-Skrull. Avengers Lineup: Goliath, Quicksilver, Scarlet
Witch, and the Vision. Last 15¢ issue. (Notes: This issue features a
classic Neal Adams cover (with inks by Tom Palmer) -- perhaps the most
well-known of the five covers that Adams drew for the Avengers title.
