This Horse rug is waterproof and features a tough ballistic outer fabric. It is also very breathable so can be used in the stable and on a wet horse after exercise or after bathing. It has a stay -dry fleece lining with absorbent insulation and the waterproof yet breathable outer allows moisture to escape from the horses body but doesn't let it in. 

This is one of the original Smartex Turnout rugs so is not one of the modern ones. It doesn't have a tail flap but it is does have twin surcingle chest straps with Bucas webbing touch and close straps over the top to keep them secure and stop them being caught on fencing as easily, Cross surcingle's, removable elasticated leg straps and filet string.  

So if you are looking for a versatile rug that can be used outdoors and indoors and also on a wet/damp horse allowing it to dry underneath and don't mind that it doesn't have a tail flap them this is a fantastic very high quality rug.
