`Fun, Fun, Fun' is artist R J Bond's imagined  portrayal of the Beach Boys famous 1964 song. Set in a bygone romantic decade of seemingly simpler and happier times, the lyrics revolve around a girl having fun cruising in her Daddy's T-Bird when she should have been visiting the library.

The back drop of the composition is a sunny Californian beach, complete with palm trees, pelicans, crashing waves, hamburger stand and surfers. Visiting the beach are a variety of period perfect automobiles and in the foreground is the girl with her Daddy's T-Bird, library books on the passenger seat, followed by a High Way Patrol car. Seated at picnic tables two young ladies are gossiping about the girl while another is scowling at her boyfriend as he gives the girl a hesitant wave.

                                               The Cars

The featured cars lovingly painted with meticulous detail and accuracy are a 32 Ford Hot Rod, 57 Plymouth Fury, 58 Cheverolet Apache Fleetside, 57 Desoto Fireflite Sportsman, 59 Dodge Coronet High Way Patrol car and of course a 57 Ford Thunderbird complete with port hole hard top and licence plate `DAD 57 T'

                                                Technical details

The original artwork has taken months from initial ideas research and pencil drawings to final completion, using designers water based gouache. The painstaking detail evident throughout the composition is extremely intricate and draws the viewer into the painting.

Printed on 308gsm, acid free, archival grade paper. Edition of the prints is strictly limited to only 400 plus 40 artist's proofs. Each print is individually signed and numbered and will have an accompanying certificate of authenticity. Image size matches that of the original at 18 x 24 inches with the addition of ample boarders for framing bringing the total area to 23 x 28 inches (approx 58,5 x 71.4 cm). The amazing quality of these limited edition gicl'ee prints is such that they appear indistinguishable from the original artwork.
