The banknote's security features include a Bettina von Arnim watermark and numeric 5, and a windowed security thread with demetalized 5 DM. The note is also printed with a serial number that starts with the prefix Y. This replacement banknote has been given a grade of 68 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
