Item Description
You are buying a set of four (4) authentic, antique
Wedgwood 'Trentham' luncheon plates
dating from
1923.
These elegant, ivory-toned earthenware luncheon plates are decorated with
urns holding pink, yellow and lavender-tone flowers.
The verges are ringed with a red and blue block design. The rims are embossed with the ribs and laurel leaf garland of Wedgwood's 'Edme' blank pattern. The website Replacements identifies this pattern as 'Trentham Red'.
The bottoms are labeled with a Wedgwood Etruria England trademark, the 'Trentham' pattern name and the August 1, 1922 U.S.A. patent date. Etruria refers to Wedgwood's ceramics factory in that town. The bottoms are also hand marked with the 'A6770' pattern number and impressed with date marks that appear to read "3MZ". This would indicate a 1923 year of manufacture.
Each plate measures approximately
9-1/8
inches in diameter.
These century-old luncheon plates are in
EXCELLENT
condition. The colors are rich, and the details are distinct. The finish is lustrous. There are no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Please note there is some surface crazing and slight wear to the verge designs. See the photos for further clarification. The items pictured are the items you will receive.
These luncheon plates will be shipped as a trackable parcel.
