[Guildhall London] 1875 Printed Silk Menu For The “International Municipal Entertainment Ball Given By The Corporation Of The City Of London To The Prefect Of The Seine And To The Mayors Of British & Foreign Municipalities In The Guildhall”


Dated July 30th 1875, printed on silk with highly decorative gold tasseled border, printed by H.J. Fitch of St. Mary Axe in London. Aside from the York ham, the menu is about as French as you can possibly get. The menu has a plain silk backing with thin card inserted in the middle.


Approx. 270x340mm. (Including tassels), the face with some soiling/discolouration, the reverse with old glue remainders and a split to the stitching in upper left corner. The colours remain pretty fresh. Scarce.
