New bronze oilite bushes available in many sizes

How it works

  • When the shaft rotates, heat and pressure draw oil out of the pores to lubricate the surface.
  • When the machine stops, the oil is reabsorbed back into the bush.
  • That’s why it’s called self-lubricating—no regular greasing needed.

Key advantages

  • Low maintenance (no frequent lubrication)
  • Quiet operation
  • Good for continuous use
  • Resistant to wear
  • Cost-effective for many applications

Typical uses

  • Electric motors
  • Fans and blowers
  • Small gearboxes
  • Household appliances
  • Light machinery

Limitations (important)

  • Not ideal for very high loads or shock loads
  • Limited performance at very high speeds or temperatures
  • Needs proper shaft finish and alignment to last
