O'Neal was elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. During his Hall of Fame career, O'Neal scored 28,596 points (23.7 ppg) with 13,099 rebounds (10.9 rpg) and 2,732 blocked shots (2.3 bpg).
