You are bidding on a rare antique hardcover book titled The Mormons - A Popular History From Earliest Times to the Present Day. By Winifred Graham. Published in London, 1913. This is the extremely scarce and collectible First Edition. In fact, I conducted a search and was only able to find one other of these books for sale, and it is selling for $500!
The author's anti-Mormon sentiment takes center stage in this sensational account, and glancing at the sources cited (Beadle and Lamb to name two) in the front of the volume it's easy to see the direction the volume is going. Winifred Graham had taken a prominent part in the anti-Mormon campaign, carried on successfully for years in England. The author also penned the screenplay to bizarre silent film "Trapped by the Mormons".
The book features blue cloth binding with gold lettering on spine and cover. The covers remain firmly attached with no cracking or splitting of hinges. The pages are clean and tightly bound with some foxing/toning to endpages and some light spotting to foredge. No writing in book and no signs of previous ownership. Book shows some general wear and remains in near-very good condition.
This is not a modern reprint. This is the extremely rare book from 1913!
Would make a good addition to a collection.
Great gift idea!
